635nm Red Laser Diodes Improve Energy Efficiency In Industrial & Medical Applications Photonic Products, the UK optoelectronics device manufacturer and laser diode specialist, announces the introduction of two new 635nm, 5mW laser diodes from Opnext, Inc. The operating current on these diodes has been decreased by 50 percent, resulting in extended battery lifetime and lower power consumption without compromising their 5mW optical output power. Their aspect ratio is also improved from 3.8 to 3.1.
