Low cost silicon avalanche photodiodes - pure enhancement In addition to its pulsed laser diodes, LASER COMPONENTS has started the full production of Silicon Avalanche Photodiodes this year. The APDs are making an excellent marriage with the existing range of 850 nm and 905 nm series pulse laser diodes. It is now possible to obtain both transmitter and receiver from a single source, with obvious benefits for applications that include range finding, speed control, laser radar, safety scanners or in test and measuring systems for industry and medicine.
