Newport Announces a New Family of Uniform Ultraviolet and Near Infrared Light Sources Irvine, California – March 21, 2006 – Newport Corporation a worldwide leader in spectroscopy instruments, light sources and accessories that make, manage and measure light, today announced a new Oriel family of arc and QTH sources. Because these new sources use aspheric lenses instead of spherical alternatives, they deliver a more uniform and collimated output beam. Focused output sources are also available, ideally suited for fiber illumination.
