New fiber-coupled diode laser of highest brilliance and absolute quality At Photonics West 2006 in San Jose, USA, the German company JENOPTIK Laserdiode GmbH (JOLD) presented a new passively cooled fiber-coupled diode laser with a significantly higher brightness and a substantial reduced volume than the preview fiber-coupled diode lasers.
The new fiber-coupled diode laser is very small, compact and powerful with up to 30 W from the fiber featuring core diameters between 0.1 and 0.4 mm (NA 0.22). The standard wavelengths are 808, 915, 938 and 976 nm.
