The Wedge Multipass Amplifier is a high energy, adjustable repetition rate (10 Hz, 100 Hz and 1 kHz versions available) multipass Ti:sapphire amplifier from Del Mar Photonics that delivers energy per pulse of >1.0 mJ (depends on pump laser), with pulse durations of 40 nm. A specially designed wedge shaped Ti:sapphire crystal is used as the gain medium reducing system size and allowing for dynamic adjustment of the gain medium for efficient use of the pump energy.
