Three Times Increase In Grating Damage Threshold HORIBA Jobin Yvon is proud to announce a new development in diffraction grating technology leading to the most efficient and highest damage threshold gratings ever.
Unlike conventional gratings a multilayer dielectric coating is first deposited onto the substrate and a holographic grating then recorded on top of this coating.
The quantum efficiency is increased to as high as 96% and the damage threshold to above 1.75cm-2 with a 275fs laser pulse.
