Photon-counting beyond 1000nm with multimode fiber input id Quantique is introducing its newest product. The id 200-MMF is a single-photon detector module with multimode fiber input, which greatly simplifies light coupling onto the sensitive area of the avalanche photodiode and improves its sensitivity.
Working in gated mode, the detector counts single-photons in the spectral range between 1100 and 1600 nm with a quantum detection efficiency higher than 10% at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. The dark count probability is smaller than 5e-5 per ns.
