AMD Plans to Reach Profitability in 2008 (AP) -- Advanced Micro Devices Inc. confirmed Thursday it will delay the widespread launch of its new "quad-core" server chip until the first quarter of next year, but the world's No. 2 microprocessor maker also promised investors it will return to profitability in 2008.
