Unique tunable waveplates for femtosecond lasers and OPOs

A novel type of waveplates has been developed by ALPHALAS GmbH (Goettingen, Germany). The two basic versions of the tunable zero-order waveplates can be adjusted for operation at any wavelength over the extremely wide spectral range from 150 to 7000 nm, and from 1 to 19 µm. The bandwidth varies from 100 to 300 nm, depending on the wavelength. The devices are available as quarter wave, half wave, dual wave and variable phase retarders.
