Siemens and Ericsson reach interoperability in push to talk Siemens Communications, the telecommunications unit of Siemens AG, and Ericsson have successfully completed interoperability tests between Siemens push to talk handsets and Ericsson infrastructure (IMS system including push to talk server). This major step will significantly expand the customer base for operators planning to offer standard-based push to talk and will give consumers a simple and seamless push to talk experience. In addition, it proves the two global mobile communications suppliers` commitment to open standards.
