TI Introduces a High-Performance LAN Switch Supporting Gigabit Ethernet LAN Switching Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) unveiled today its first LAN switch that supports Gigabit Ethernet LAN Switching. With the majority of Notebook PCs on today's market requiring a method of switching Gigabit Ethernet LAN signals to a docking station, as well as Telecom Equipment requiring switching the Ethernet port from front to back of the rack, TI specifically set out to design a LAN switch with high bandwidth to assure Gigabit Ethernet speeds. The TS3L301, 8-channel SPDT (2:1 Multiplexer/Demultiplexer) LAN Switch, provides industry-leading bandwidth (900 MHz Typ) for successful implementation in today´s systems.
