New AP Series interchangeable thermistor The term "Interchangeable" refers to a type of NTC thermistor which can readily be replaced by another of the same quality, without the need for instrument re-calibration. The accuracy of these NTCs can vary from +/-0.5K to +/-0.05K over a range of temperature, typically 0 to 70deg.C.
To achieve this level of accuracy, the NTC element has to be fine-tuned by literally “hand grinding� against an abrasive wheel.
