AMD to invest 2.5 bln dlrs in Dresden chip factory Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), the US maker of computer chips, said it planned to invest 2.5 billion dollars (1.96 billion euros) in expanding capacity at its factory in Dresden, eastern Germany, over the next three years.
